Upcycling is a new term for repurposing. Upcycling is the act of taking something no longer in use and giving it a second life and new function. In doing so, the finished product often becomes more practical, valuable and beautiful than what it previously was.

X-Ray Goggles makes it easy to see and remix the code behind your favourite web pages. The best part: you don't need any prior coding experience! You will learn some along the way. Just activate Goggles, click on a section, and edit. Then, share your remixes with others.

  1. Use this instructions at the top of this page to activate X-Ray Goggles.
  2. Watch a demo of X-Ray Goggles
  3. Decide on a remix theme. Example ideas are: Super Mario; Sporting Heroes; Pop Stars, etc. 
  4. Now choose a new story to edit, be creative and follow these rules:
    Do not swear;
    Do not edit any political pages or use political pictures;
    Do not use any inappropriate content.
  5. Have fun!
